Back to visit

In April, we, finally, made it back to visit our old stomping grounds. With only a couple of days in town, Brooks, Genevieve and I tried to visit as many friends and neighbors as we could while Dave slaved away in the office.

Immediately upon arriving in town, we met our dear friends Matt & Whitney and their boys for dinner. The parents had a great time visiting while the kids ran around; (I think they managed to eat a bit, too). We love kid-friendly restaurants like this. Genevieve was so excited to see old friends, and Brooks was simply entertained by all of their excitement.

We were blessed to spend a day playing with Mama Nikki, Ruby, and meeting baby Moses, the new brother of one of Genevieve's best friends. Between the rec center, lunch and an afternoon at the park, we had a great time together. Genevieve and Ruby were too busy running all around the park that I never managed to get a decent photo of the two of them. We love this family!
To Genevieve's delight, we were invited to join a birthday party the next day and catch up with some families from our former church ward. All that really mattered to Genevieve was playing with her best friend Grace and her mom, who we dearly miss. Party treats and games were just icing on the cake!

Here Brooks and Grace's baby brother Gordon, (two who would be destined to be great friends if we still lived there), hang out while eating dirt and each other's snacks.
On our way out of town, we had to fit in one more visit and park date with the Thornals and Robinsons. Even Dave was able to join us for this one!

Sweet, darling Grace!

Brooks's first time down a slide. He laughed and laughed and couldn't get enough of it!
Almost all of the kids on the teeter-totter.

Sweet Dave & Brooks, my two favorite guys!

What a great place to be! We didn't get pictures with all of the friends and neighbors that we were able to see, but we loved the time we spent with each one. Thank you to all of you! We love you and hope to see you, again, sometime soon!

Friends are so fun! Way to go in catching up - I feel like we are in a race. :)
