Happy Birthday to my handsome husband, Dave! Thanks for being the best husband and dad ever!
As some background to this post (not that it's needed), Genevieve attended a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese last December and had been wanting to go back ever since. So, when I asked Dave what he wanted to do for his birthday, he said, "Go to Chuck E Cheese." What a great dad! When Genevieve found out, she was ecstatic! She told her teachers and everyone she saw the day before and the day of, that she was going to Chuck E Cheese for her dad's birthday. You can imagine the smiles and looks of surprise on most of their faces. But as Dave said, the best way to spend a birthday is with your kids and seeing them happy. That, they were!
We finished off the day with Dave's favorite carrot cake and gifts at home. Brooks enjoyed eating some cake for the first time! That's what dads are for, right? We definitely love the dad of our home and hope that he knows how much we appreciate him!
