Our dear friends Andrea and Joe, with little son Landon, came up to visit and celebrate our nation's independence with us. It really was a treat, as we don't get to see them often since we have moved up here. One of our favorite things last 4th of July was sitting outside the music tent and enjoying the symphony. Thus, we decided it was a must for this year, as well. We met friends there (who had saved terrific spots for us), enjoyed our little picnic, and enjoyed the show. Despite the heat, (notice the melting children in the second photo), it really was a good time.
Genevieve and Landon cooled off later by playing in the tub together. I know that Genevieve thought it was a lot of fun to have a friend in the bath! After the kiddos were in bed, the parents enjoyed flag cake and fireworks. Yum!
