At the end of June, we made a short vacation weekend of our own and decided to spend some time in Denver. I think that it was the first time that we have spent more than 24 hours there since we moved away more than a year ago. Due to my longing for shopping, a temple, and time to see friends, it was practically a must. We had no idea what a good get-away it would be! We shopped, went to dinner with friends, attended church at our old ward and spent time with family. It was wonderful!
Genevieve, definitely, thought it was fun hanging out with her cousins on Sunday afternoon; cute boys! We love time with Dave's sister and family.
We were treated like celebrities when we attended our old ward! We were very flattered to have so many people excited to see us. They treated us like we were much more important than we really are, and a friend put together a dessert party that evening so that everyone who wanted to visit with us could. She's great! We were amazed by how many people showed up just for us. After three hours of fun visiting and laughter, we decided we had to get Genevieve home, (it was way past her bedtime). We may have only lived in that ward for a short time, but there are so many friends that we absolutely love there! Thank you for such a wonderful evening! And, please, come visit us soon!

Dave worked out of the Denver office the next day. Before we left town, we caught a quick dinner with my dear friend Joanna. I taught with her for five years and miss seeing her so often.
Vacations and visits never seem to last long enough, but we are so glad that we went. It was a great weekend!
