Pumpkins in the pumpkin patch
There is a great pumpkin farm that we discovered this fall about 30 minutes from our house. We headed there in early October, to make sure it wouldn't be sold out before we made our visit. (Last year, we drove for an hour to another site only to find that the pumpkin farm had sold out a few days before. This year we were determined not to have that happen again!) The kids loved it! Walking in the fields, checking out all of the pumpkins of different sizes and colors, and getting to pick one of their own. They loved riding in the wheel barrows, filling the wheels barrows with dirt and leaves, and pouring dirt on each others' heads, if not their own. I thought Genevieve would like it, but I had no idea how well she and all of the kids would be entertained. She really is my darling pumpkin.
