Genevieve is fascinated with birthdays and, for months, has been telling us all of the things that she was going to do on her birthday, who was going to be there, and so on. So in May, I realized that perhaps I wouldn't have the energy for it days within having a newborn, but we could definitely do an early celebration. With the help of two wonderful friends of Genevieve's and two wonderful moms (& dear friends of mine) we held a princess tea party for Genevieve's early 3rd birthday! Princess dresses, a tea party and two of her favorite playmates from the mountains, - can you tell that she was excited?? We read "Tea for Ruby", enjoyed a wide spread of food with raspberry lemonade, listened to G's Disney Princess Tea Party music, and played games. It was a hit!

Once her friend Gracers decided it was time for pajamas, Genevieve was more than happy to try out her princess costume for her. I don't think Genevieve could have have enough dress up! As her dad says, she changes outfits and costumes at least six times a day.

We even fit in a visit to the zoo, earlier in the day before our tea party. With three pregnant moms and three toddlers, I think we were all worn out by the time we left, but we had a great time!

Here's one last photo of the girls before heading home, all bathed after swimming at the pool. Thanks so much for making the drive for a wonderful visit and early birthday celebration. We love and miss you!
